Not just the skills, speed agility quickness drills. Weight lifting Without question the most important part of any soccer practice or game is THE ACTIVE DYNAMIC WARM UP: It is our goal as strength trainers, athletic trainers & most importantly coaches to get our athletes ready to compete and perform to their full potential, role as coaches at all levels or strength trainers is first and foremost to prevent injuries. There is nothing more critical in reducing the incidence of injury then putting our athletes through a well structured warm-up program. Many coaches along with trainers feel a quick 2 lap jog or a minute on the treadmill walking will get a athlete warm. There are plenty of sports specific warm ups and trainers such as myself who want to make coaches at any level middle school to professionals the importance of proper warm up and cool down routines for athletes. Many people ask why go through a whole dynamic warm up yes is might take 10-20 minutes each workout but if you want to train hard you must train smart. It is fact that it helps athletes significantly through there workout, recovery from the training, to injury prevention and many others. AS A TRAINER WHO WORKS WITH ATHLETES AT ALL LEVELS to many coaches at all levels are looking past properly warming up and cooling down athletes.
